SAT. July 14, 8:30 am: McKenzie Meadows Hike– Subalpine ecosystems
An easy, 3 km one-way hike from trailhead into McKenzie & Douglas Lakes & the Meadows, with biologist Loys Maingon. Meet at Parking area on Strathcona Parkway just off Highway 19 at 8.30 am to carpool – a vehicle with good clearance is necessary for logging road access. Sturdy footwear is essential – be prepared for sudden changes in the weather in the mountains. Always carry water. No dogs, please.
