SUN. July 29, 8:30am: Hike to Aston Pond (near Panther Lake)

A long day hike (14 km round trip)  with biologist Loys Maingon on subalpine pond ecology. Pack a lunch. Meet at Parking area on Strathcona Parkway just off Highway 19 at 8.30 am to carpool -a vehicle with good clearance necessary for logging road access. Sturdy footwear is essential – be prepared for sudden changes in the weather in the mountains. Always carry water. No dogs, please. Participants should always check the SWI website for  any changes in scheduling or trail conditions, 24 hours before the scheduled hikes. (http://strathconapark.org).
