Bird Outing Report: Englishman River Estuary, Aug. 27,2015

Today eight birders went to the Englishman Estuary in Parksville in search of shorebirds. The weather was partly cloudy to sunny. We didn’t see many shorebirds but we found the 30 species below. Highlights were the alcids (Rhinoceros Auklet, Common Murre, and Pigeon Guillemots) along the shore. We also went to the mouth of French Creek and the viewing stand at Qualicum Bay but still didn’t find many shorebirds.
