Bird Outing Report: Hornby Island, Sept. 13, 2012

On Thursday, 13 September, 7 birders visited Hornby Island. We went to Collishaw Point in the morning, and visited Dunlop Point in the afternoon. The weather was warm and sunny. The highlights were Heermann’s Gull, Surfbird (one of which came in for very close views), and an adult light-phase Parasitic Jaeger which flew by at close range chasing a Bonaparte’s Gull.
