COURTENAY AIRPARK HISTORY AND ECOLOGY WALK- Family Watershed Day

11 AM – History and Ecology of the Courtenay Air Park walk with Comox Valley Nature – registration required.
Take this opportunity to join Comox Valley Nature member Kathie Woodley for a walk around the Courtenay River Airpark. Learn about its history and how the town’s sewage lagoon has become one of the most popular walking spots in the Comox Valley. Observe our native plants and birds which make a home here in the estuary. See some of the restoration work in progress.

Family Watershed Day is an interactive and educational event focused on watershed health and awareness in celebration of World Rivers Day.
Members of the Comox Valley Conservation Partnership will be sharing information, activities, and games all on the theme of local watersheds.
This free event will take place at the south end of Mansfield Drive next to the Courtenay Riverway Heritage Walk from 10 am to 3 pm.
Note: if this walk fills up, we will add a second walk at 1PM.
