General meetings
General meetings of Comox Valley Nature are typically held on the third Sunday of most months at 3:00 pm. Most in-person meetings in 2024 will be held at the following location:
Comox United Church, Main Hall
250 Beach Drive
Comox BC
Our Annual General Meeting is typically held in February.
As we gain experience with the required technology, some meetings will be held as hybrid meetings, with attendance possible either in-person or by videoconference.
Alternatively, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, some meetings may take other forms:
- Outdoor gatherings, possibly including a picnic
- Entirely by videoconference
General meetings (except for the AGM) are open to the public, including youth. Admission is free, but a donation of $4.00 is suggested for non-members, and new memberships are always welcomed.
General meetings are not held in July, August, and December.
Guest speakers
Guest speakers are highlights of our monthly schedules. These speakers share their expertise in natural history or environmental issues with members and the general public.
A guest speaker may be part of a general meeting or a separate event, the latter in the form of a webinar.
