Nature Viewing Sites in the Comox Valley and Environs

Maps and descriptions of 25 easily accessible sites of interest to naturalists. Includes checklists of the birds, plants, mushrooms, and shorelife that may be observed in season. Covers an area on the east coast of Vancouver Island, stretching from Deep Bay in the south to Seal Bay Regional Park in the north, and from seashore to mountains. Denman and Hornby Islands are included.

This report documents the wetland and estuary habitat restoration work done in 2003 by the Comox Valley Naturalists Society. These efforts include the removal of purple loosestrife and other invasive species from the estuaries and wetlands of the Comox Valley and replanting with the appropriate native species.
