SUMMARY:Getting to the Root of the Matter
DESCRIPTION:Verna Mumby will lead us on this walk through Vanier Nature Park in Courtenay \, where we will get to the ROOT of the matter and learn about roots. Discover the different root types\, what they do\, where they are and why! We will dig around some trees to examine the wonders of the way trees take in their food and water and grow in an upright  position. \n \n(image licensed under Creative Commons) \nThis walk takes place  on June 7 from 11 to 12. We will be walking on uneven terrain that is sometimes muddy\, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. (no dogs please)  \nThis is a free event but donations to CVN are welcome.
