SUMMARY:Little River Nature Park\, Nature Walk
DESCRIPTION:Walk Little River Nature Park and learn some of the history of this\nland that is now a CVRD park. See and identify many plants that call this place\nhome. This park is a rich area that includes second growth Douglas-fir forests that lead to beach and estuarine plain. The plain area is a sensitive ecosystem that was a former gravel pit. A CVN Wetlands Restoration work party will be in progress as we tour. \n \nWalk leader: Karen Cummins \nConditions: mostly level walking with one very short but steep section of trail with\nuneven footing. About 1.5km long \nMeet place: main parking lot off Wilkinson Rd. (ample parking along Wilkinson road if\nlot is full).\nPlease be at the meeting place at least 10 minutes ahead of the start time to sign in. (No\ndogs allowed) \nThis walk is free\, but donations are gratefully accepted.
