Monthly Meetings

Meetings of the Comox Valley Naturalists Society are held on the third Sunday of most months at the Florence Filberg Centre, 411 Anderton Ave. Courtenay BC at 7:00 pm. A Guest Speaker precedes a brief business meeting. Meetings are open to the public, including youth. A donation of $3.00 is suggested for non-members, and new memberships are always welcomed. Meetings are not held in July, August, and December.

Group Meetings

The Botany group meets at a member’s house on the first Monday of most months. Occasionally the meeting is replaced by a field trip.

The Birders group meets on the first Thursday of each month, at 7:00 pm in the Soroptimist Lounge in the Florence Filberg Centre, 411 Anderton Ave, Courtenay. There are also occasional field trips.

There are three Bird Counts annually conducted by CVNS; Spring, Christmas, and Trumpeter Swan counts. For more information please use the Contact Us section.
